Questions and Answers about Pipeline Card

This is a list of some of the most common questions that we have been asked about Pipeline Card.

How much could I save?

We expect to be able to offer our members a discount of between 5p and 7p a litre.

What's the catch?

There is no catch. There is no charge for membership and the cards will be issued free.

Are you going to sell the data, spam us or misuse our data?

We are not in the spam business. Pipeline Card has a comprehensive Privacy Policy. You can read it by clicking here.

Can I unsubscribe?

Of course. You can unsubscribe at any time by sending a blank email to unsubscribe@PipelineCard.org or you can use our unsubscribe page by clicking here.

How can I change my email address?

You can change your email address by clicking here.

Will I be able to get discounted petrol in my local area?

We are currently negotiating with a major national fuel retailer so we expect to be able to offer cheaper petrol and diesel in most parts of the UK. This will include Northern Ireland and most of mainland Scotland/

Who are you negotiating with?

Sorry. During the negotiation stage we are prevented from disclosing the names of our potential partners by a legally binding non-disclosure agreement that carries a severe financial penalty. We will, however, announce full details before cards are sent out.

When will I receive my Pipeline Card?

It has taken much longer than we were originally led to believe. We would love to say ?any day now? but the company that we began negotiations with over a year ago put a serious of increasingly difficult obstacles in our way before deciding not to go ahead. Since then we have been speaking to other retailers, a supermarket and one or two banks. We will let you know as soon as we have a FIRM date.

Who is behind Pipeline Card?

Pipeline was set up by motorist and car enthusiast Ben Scammell who has been campaigning actively for a reduction in fuel prices for several years. We have also had extensive support from motoring organisations, consumer groups, car enthusiasts, and the media.

Can companies join?

Pipeline is a discount card for individuals - not companies. Company car drivers, however, are very welcome to join individually.

Will discounts apply to diesel/autogas(LPG)?

We will offer discounts on petrol - including super unleaded - and diesel. We may be able to include LPG (Autogas) but that will depend on our numbers and the level of demand.

Is there a limit on membership numbers?

Not at the moment - the more the merrier ? we currently have 500,000 members but that clearly isn?t enough to apply significant pressure. Please encourage your friends to sign up ? if you are a member you know by now that they have nothing to lose.
