Utility Warehouse Questions & Answers

This is a list of some of the most common questions that we have been asked about Utilities Warehouse

Who Are Utility Warehouse?

Utility Warehouse is a Discount club owned by Telecom Plus - a UK company quoted on the London Stock Exchange (TEP). It has over 250,000 members.

Why haven’t I heard of them?

They don’t advertise - to keep costs down - and they refuse to pay commissions to price comparison websites. They rely on word of mouth and excellent service.

Will I get a hard sell from some pushy salesman?

No - the Call Centre in North London is there to answer questions and help you to switch. Their purpose is to help save you money.

Will I really save money?

For most people, that is guaranteed.

For gas, they guarantee their prices will always be lower than British Gas, wherever you live in the UK.

For electricity, they guarantee their prices will always be cheaper than the prices charged by your regional electricity supplier for the area where you live.

And for your complete peace of mind, they guarantee their prices will always remain competitive compared with the cheapest tariffs available from the "Big 6" suppliers.

What if there is a power cut or gas leak?

Your electricity and gas supply will still travel down the same wires and pipes, and if there's ever a power cut or gas leak, you can still use the same emergency services as you do now.

Utility repair services are organised by region, not supplier, and are regulated by central Government.

What do other people think of Utility Warehouse?

Satisfaction levels are extremely high. They have been voted Number One for service and value by Which Magazine in a major survey carried out last Autumn.

Suppose I find a better deal somewhere else - am I tied to a contract?

If you ever find a better deal, there is no penalty charge and no contract stopping you from switching again.
